Copy it to you F3T folder, and open it by dragging the.tex files upon conversion, so always keep a copy somewhere!! I would strongly recommend keeping a completely separate folder with all of your untouched extracted tex files that you can use as a backup in case anything goes wrong. You'll want to keep these in mind when you are converting the picture around to and from. Each texture has it's own resolution and format that will need to be specified in F3T, and converted as such. Create an "Extracted" folder, extract all of the above to here.įrom here, you now have all of the game's textures, but we need to change and repack them into their own packages.Open "\steamapps\common\Fable 3\data\globals\globals_textures.bnk" and Extract all. This is going to be where we make all our changes to texture files, and unless otherwise specified where everything will be going. Create a new folder somewhere, and name it "Workbench".Open BNKBrowser, and find levels.bnk in the Fable3/data folder.Step by step instructions (I'm using the globals_textures.bnk for this tutorial, but the process is the same for any texture bank you found.): If you want to do this for a lot of textures, I recommend using XnConvert to convert everything out of. dds, and Nvidia Texture Tools Exporter for converting the. tex files, and repacking everything, Fable3_Tex_Converter for converting the. This process uses BNKUtils (Referred to as BNKU), Fable3_Tex_Converter (Referred to as F3T), and Nvidia Texture Tools Exporter (Referred to as NTTE). After a lot of research, here's a guide on how to mod any and all textures for Fable 3! I'm not a modder really, so there's probably a lot of mistakes and better methods of doing this so please take it with a grain of salt, and BACK UP/TEST EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU RUIN YOUR GAME! I also have no idea if this will get you banned in XBL, but it's probably a good chance it will.
